The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence was esablished in the early 1970's and the organization's mission is to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service through the testing and certification of auto repair and service professionals. The institue works in every segment of the automotive industry: car and truck dealerships, independant auto repair garages, fleets, service stations, franchises, and more. Each member is required to take one or more of ASE's 40+ exams that are grouped into specialties for automobile, medium/heavy truck, truck equipment, parts specialists, collision repair technicians, and collision damage estimators. Only upon passing at least one exam and providing proof of two years or relevant work experience can a auto repair shop become certified. Furthermore, ASE certified affiliates must be retested every five years.

Satisfied Customer
My original transmission that was repaired, developed a major problem. I spoke to Jerry at the Fairfield location, made arrangements to have the vehicle inspected, and found that the transmission would have to be rebuilt. I was treated with utmost respect, and proffessionalism. Being in the customer service business myself, I find it refreshing to work with others that value delivering top notch customer service. Kudos to Joe, Jerry and Mike for a job well done!
